特発性正常圧水頭症に対する脳室腹腔短絡術後の歩行障害の回復過程について、TUG,UPDRSを用いて評価した。その結果、主要な症候である平衡障害は経時的に改善していく傾向がみられたが、すくみ足には変化は認めなかった。術後初期では踵部補高が効果的であった。
